Music Business Teaching Tools & Social Media Marketing Workshop

GPMTA had the pleasure of hosting an informative workshop by our local members, Ashley Clayton and Esther Ling speaking on topics about running an efficient music lesson business, maintaining high value as an instructor, utilizing social media marketing to grow your brand as a music teacher/musician and avoiding burnout. 

In this two-part presentation, participants first learnt from Ashley about building a firm studio policy, administrative tips, and helpful digital tools to make lesson preparation and execution more effective. Then, participants delve into the world of social media marketing with Esther; learning how to build a strong brand of who you are, what you do and why you do what you do (values), and use that focus to effectively plan and create your marketing content strategy to grow and bring your music business to the next level. 

Vocal Workshop & Masterclass

It was a pleasure to have Dr. Tina Alexander Luna speak about vocal health; how tension affects singing and sharing tips for singing well as we age. Dr. Tina shared her expertise in healthy vocal singing technique, demonstrated SOVT excercise, and participants enjoyed a few singing performances.

Music Business & 88 Keys

GPMTA had the pleasure of hosting a Music Business workshop for the community which talks about musical artistry with commerce.  The lecture delved into the history of the music business, how it has evolved in the 21st century, the importance of copyright, recording contracts, promotion, and networking for classically trained musicians, an aspiring songwriters, or business students. We had the pleasure of hearing performances of local students and teachers in the 88 Keys Piano Masterclass session and gained helpful advice on performance techniques and teaching hints.
