A Presentation and Choir Masterclass with Dr. John Wiebe

Join us on Saturday, November 15th for a workshop with Dr. John Wiebe, an award-winning choral conductor, pianist, and educator from Edmonton, Alberta!

Our itinerary includes a lecture at 10:00am, titled “Musiking: Together On Purpose”, and will explore the importance of informal, group, or shared music-making and how it can help build a foundation of joy in our musical lives. This lecture is open to GPMTA members as well as the general public, and is open to musicians of all disciplines, whether they are music teachers or not! The lecture will be followed by a light lunch, provided by the GPMTA. Admission is $15 for GPMTA members, and $20 for non-members. Please register for the lecture via the form below. The deadline to register for the lecture is Friday, November 7th.

At 1:00pm, we will be hosting a choral conducting masterclass for choir conductors! Conductors are welcome to sign up with their choirs to participate in the masterclass, and entry is open to choirs of all age groups. Masterclass registration is $30, or $25 for choir conductors who are members of the GPMTA. Anyone is welcome to attend the masterclass just to watch, rather than participate, free of charge. Please register for the masterclass via the form below. The deadline to register for the masterclass is Friday, November 7th.
